I wanted a 'beater' sword, and so far looks like this one will fit the bill nicely. for the backyard i want something i can swing better, and same if i had to self-def with it. This was my first buy and certainly not my last. I just ordered this sword and it arrived just before I am writing this review. It does have a few problems, but they dont detract enough to really complain. I was surprised with how well it could cut through flesh, bone, animals, and even the shell of a turtoise. as for downsides, i found two. This massive sword measures 33" overall and breathes strength. Tough cuts through everything For the price can't be beat. i highly reccomend this sword to anyone who enjoys the movie 300, or anyone who just likes awesome swords. Cant tell you about "quality" of the metal as it will be months before im strong enough to use them for the cardio and strength training I bought them for.
